Played this game on my Channel's Series called 3 SCARY GAMES! It's the 2nd game I played in the video starting at 15:30!

Almost immediately, I felt completely immersed within seconds of even opening the game. I knew going into it the Atmosphere, Visuals & Sound Design we're going to be amazing and I wasn't disappointed. I have not seen the movie mentioned in the desc of the game, but it did not take away from the experience at all. It truly gave a glimpse into the horrors of living on a lighthouse island, how you seemingly go crazy by the end. Overall I really enjoyed this unique experience and hope you continue to make great games!

Glad you liked it friend, thanks for the compliments. Yeah developing a sound design that convinced me took some time, so i'm happy it worked to you

I have not watched the movie but now I really want to. I love how short this game is and how much it packs, from the lovely details of the environment, the sound cues (that thunder noise is genius, it sounds like giants fighting), that ONE scene (I can’t stop thinking about it). Amazing work. This is why I love indie horror games.

Wow thank you really, i don't deserve all these compliments. Happy you liked the attention for the details in the environment.

P.S. You should really give a chance to the movie, you'll not regret ;)

Molto interessante...ha del potenziale!

Grazie mille! Spero di trovare del tempo per ampliare il prototipo

Che engine usi?

Thanks for the support, really liked your video.

All the compliments in the comments really made me smile <3

not alot of people use this style anymore so really enjoyed that, keep up the good work man

This is a extremely good horror game! The thing in the water scared me a ton. The style is great and the ambience is horrifying. I played this in my 3 scary games video. gameplay starts at 29:25

Thanks for the support, really appreciated your video. Happy it scared you so much ;)

I like the style a lot. I always love lighthouse games. I wasn't sure about where to find the body at first  but I managed :) Nice little scares put everywhere too. Your video is second and starts at 08:33

(+1)

Happy you liked it! Really enjoyed your video, also you are one of a few who found all the scary things.
You're not the only one who had some problem finding the body, maybe i have to make it more visible

:) Good to know that I wasnt the only one confused about the body! I figured it was just me lol Thanks so much for taking the time to watch my gameplay of it!!

I really liked this game! It had a very creepy atmosphere and I felt like I was being watched the entire time. Good job!

Thanks man, happy you liked it! I loved your video

Cool game. I liked the atmosphere. I also really like light houses, so I had to check this one out. If you get a chance, please take a look at my video. Thanks!

Thanks for the compliments, really appreciated, especially if you love the movie

I thought this game was very nice on the eyes and the sounds were incredible and submersed me deep into the game. Even though it took a step from horror it still had its creepy moments. I enjoyed this game a lot, I even made a video on it if that's ok. I hope you make more games in the future and keep up the cool looks and sounds. Good Luck.

Thanks for all the compliments, really appreciated

i liked the looks of the game and the guy at the end of the dock lol

Thank you, glade you liked it

good atmospher and auro

Happy you liked it!

It's a rather short game (I was kind of expecting there to be more, even if just a little bit), though there were some elements I did like. The visuals work well, as does the sound design. So as a concept it's certainly interesting. Admittedly, I haven't seen the movie this is apparently based on, so perhaps I'm missing something!

Thanks for the video! I know it's really short but it's just a prototype, maybe in the future i'll expand it.

I loved the 2019 movie so when I saw this I HAD to play it! it was so good the atmosphere was so eerie and I loved the overall look of it!! Here my blind reaction to the game!! it starts at 6:45!! Thank you!!

(+1)

Really happy you liked it, thanks for the video!

This games really gives off the feel of The Lighthouse (2019) movie, I'm sure that was the intention though.  I'm a huge fan of the movie (as you can see) Great job!

(+1)

Thanks for the compliments! Yeah, recreate the feelings of the movie was the point of the prototype, happy it work.

When I was playing it, I could hear "why'd ya spill yer beans" in my head.

This was a really fun little game, I liked the look of it, the atmosphere was neat as well, good work :)

(+1)

Thanks for the compliments and the video!

If you add some color, it will be better. The game is good!

Thanks, i used black and white to recreate the mood of the movie.

Almost missed the lightning, but what an amazing image of seeing the world around you in such a lovecraftian state. It makes you wonder where the player actually is.

Not as sure what goes on at the end, I am chalking it up that the character has gone mad, or he is removing the light to stop others being lured here.

Good job on the game!

Really happy you liked it! Thanks fot the all the compliments and the video.

Gave it a Let's Play, the atmosphere/ambience is nice, just wish it was expanded upon in some way

Thank you man for the support and the video, really. I'd love to expand the game with the parts originally have to be in it...let's see in tbe future ;)

awesome game

Really enjoyed the feel, for some reason this was extra spooky for me :) Nice work! Would love to see this go further.

Thank you very much, happy it spooks you ;)

Who knows, maybe in the future i'll expand the game.

I enjoyed this a lot. I really like the black and white aesthetic. Keep up the great work!

Thanks for the compliments and the video!

Played the game on my channel! Really enjoyed the atmosphere of the game. I think you have a lot of potential!

Thank you, really happy you liked it!

You manage to recreate the tension and ambiance of the movie. Excellent job, man!

Thanks for the compliments, really appreciated

Nice Game

Gameplay en español

Glade you like it and thanks for the support!

Short but sweet! Love the atmosphere, keep it up!

Happy you like it, and thanks for the video!

Of course, thanks again!

Short but not bad. Like the graphical artystyle you have going across the whole game. And some of the scares were good too. Made a video on it.

(+1)

Thanks! Sorry can you tell me your screen resolution? I see you have some problems with the game: you don't see the texts and the game in not in 4:3.

(1 edit)

Actual monitors res is 3440x1440 I use a program called borderless gaming to scale games without settings down to a 1920x1080 window so they look good in OBS. The games not supposed to run in 16:9 I reckon?

(+1)

Yeah problably the problem is the program you using, i'll check if i can avoid those issues. Thanks for help man, really appreciated it!

(1 edit)

If I knew the game was made only for the 4:3 aspect ratio (Makes sense giving the graphical art style) I would've configured it for a 4:3 resolution. Game was still good though looking at someone else's video to see what the text was. Edit: What borderless essentially does it force windows down to a specific size. It seems to bypass game limitations. Tbh, might give up the ultrawide and go back to duel 1080p monitors. Will make things smoother.

(1 edit)

I should also point out when I first ran the game it ran full screen 3440x1440 which I know every indie game on here made usually isn't supported on 21:9/ultrawide resolutions so I scaled it down to 1920x1080 because of that reason. Also because I don't record ultrawide videos for people with 16:9 tvs/monitors/phones/etc.

Short horror game with effective atmosphere and subtle creepy moments, the "siren" was very effective in telling you that something is going wrong, seeing that abomination at the end of the dock was really creepy as i saw the eyes but couldn't tell what it was till it started moving. Thank you for making this! 2nd Game.

(+1)

Thanks for the video, happy you like it!

If you don't mind me asking what did you do to get this effect?

(2 edits)

No problem. I set the game on 4:3 scale resolution, used post process for black and white and this simple plug-in called "PSXEffects" for the PS1 style. Hope i helped you!

I completely LOVE this artistic style!  The oldschool graphic throw back paired with the black and white color palette is so very enjoyable! (pushing for 6000 subscribers on YouTube!  Would love for you to join the community!)

Thanks a lot for all the compliments man, really really happy you liked it! I know the game it's very short but it's just a little prototype i made for school. Maybe i'll develope it in the future.

P.S. You missed some little creepy stuffs ;)

I'll have to check it out again.  I don't mind that it is short I just WISH it was longer because it appealed to me so much.  Keep doin your thing I'm glad you made it!

Nice! Short but creepy.

Really glad you like it, and thanks for the video!

This games looked so awesome. Really love the visuals.

Thanks for the support, happy you like it!

The game looked great and it had that level of mystery in it. Nice job. I only wish it was a bit longer. But that's just a minor gripe. Great job.

Here's my channel for other games I have played. https://www.youtube.com/c/Levont

Thanks man, really like your video. Yeah the game should have been longer, but it's just a little school prototype. Who knows, maybe in future i'll add the sections that were supposed to be in it ;)

i love your game great work :):):)

Thank you, glad you like it!

 good game

Happy you liked it, and thanks for the video.

Really love the w&b aesthetic.

Really happy you liked it, and thanks for the video!

ITA: Grazie mille! Dimmi pure se hai qualche consiglio su come migliorarlo.

ENG: Thank you very much! Fell free to tell me any advice to improve it.

Hi there, I am DragonExplosion and I am a Youtuber. If you like my videos, please leave a like and subscribe at my channel.

This was a really nice black and white, PSX horror game with very detailed design of the surroundings, especially the house that the main character was in at the start of the game. The idea for a shadow standing at the lighthouse door and the strange appearance of a weird being near the dead body was definitely really clever as it was unsettling and creepy at the same time.

I enjoyed the game but I was wondering if the game has an ending or not as after I reach the top of the lighthouse and opened the light at the middle, I reached a black screen but could still hear background noises. It would be a shame if I didn't manage to complete the game due to how cool the horror game was.

Thank you for reading my comment and I wish you good luck in your future endeavours.

(+1)

Thank you for playing my game, i'm happy you liked it! Yeah that's supposed to be the end, but i understand it's a bit strange that the black screen remain. I think it's better if i simply close the game after some seconds or return to main menu.

Was wondering if the game reference the Netflix movie in 2019, The Lighthouse? XD

(+1)

Exactly, i wrote that in the description too. I love the movie, so i choose to do this little game for a school laboratory based on recreate the mood or theme of a movie scene.
