If you add some color, it will be better. The game is good!

Thanks, i used black and white to recreate the mood of the movie.

Almost missed the lightning, but what an amazing image of seeing the world around you in such a lovecraftian state. It makes you wonder where the player actually is.

Not as sure what goes on at the end, I am chalking it up that the character has gone mad, or he is removing the light to stop others being lured here.

Good job on the game!

Really happy you liked it! Thanks fot the all the compliments and the video.

Gave it a Let's Play, the atmosphere/ambience is nice, just wish it was expanded upon in some way

Thank you man for the support and the video, really. I'd love to expand the game with the parts originally have to be in it...let's see in tbe future ;)

Gameplay en español

Glade you like it and thanks for the support!

Short but sweet! Love the atmosphere, keep it up!

Happy you like it, and thanks for the video!

Of course, thanks again!

Short but not bad. Like the graphical artystyle you have going across the whole game. And some of the scares were good too. Made a video on it.

Thanks! Sorry can you tell me your screen resolution? I see you have some problems with the game: you don't see the texts and the game in not in 4:3.

(1 edit)

Actual monitors res is 3440x1440 I use a program called borderless gaming to scale games without settings down to a 1920x1080 window so they look good in OBS. The games not supposed to run in 16:9 I reckon?

(+1)

Yeah problably the problem is the program you using, i'll check if i can avoid those issues. Thanks for help man, really appreciated it!

If I knew the game was made only for the 4:3 aspect ratio (Makes sense giving the graphical art style) I would've configured it for a 4:3 resolution. Game was still good though looking at someone else's video to see what the text was. Edit: What borderless essentially does it force windows down to a specific size. It seems to bypass game limitations. Tbh, might give up the ultrawide and go back to duel 1080p monitors. Will make things smoother.

I should also point out when I first ran the game it ran full screen 3440x1440 which I know every indie game on here made usually isn't supported on 21:9/ultrawide resolutions so I scaled it down to 1920x1080 because of that reason. Also because I don't record ultrawide videos for people with 16:9 tvs/monitors/phones/etc.

Short horror game with effective atmosphere and subtle creepy moments, the "siren" was very effective in telling you that something is going wrong, seeing that abomination at the end of the dock was really creepy as i saw the eyes but couldn't tell what it was till it started moving. Thank you for making this! 2nd Game.

Thanks for the video, happy you like it!

If you don't mind me asking what did you do to get this effect?

(2 edits)

No problem. I set the game on 4:3 scale resolution, used post process for black and white and this simple plug-in called "PSXEffects" for the PS1 style. Hope i helped you!

I completely LOVE this artistic style!  The oldschool graphic throw back paired with the black and white color palette is so very enjoyable! (pushing for 6000 subscribers on YouTube!  Would love for you to join the community!)

Thanks a lot for all the compliments man, really really happy you liked it! I know the game it's very short but it's just a little prototype i made for school. Maybe i'll develope it in the future.

P.S. You missed some little creepy stuffs ;)

I'll have to check it out again.  I don't mind that it is short I just WISH it was longer because it appealed to me so much.  Keep doin your thing I'm glad you made it!

This games looked so awesome. Really love the visuals.

Thanks for the support, happy you like it!

The game looked great and it had that level of mystery in it. Nice job. I only wish it was a bit longer. But that's just a minor gripe. Great job.

Here's my channel for other games I have played. https://www.youtube.com/c/Levont

Thanks man, really like your video. Yeah the game should have been longer, but it's just a little school prototype. Who knows, maybe in future i'll add the sections that were supposed to be in it ;)

i love your game great work :):):)

ENG: Thank you very much! Fell free to tell me any advice to improve it.

Hi there, I am DragonExplosion and I am a Youtuber. If you like my videos, please leave a like and subscribe at my channel.

This was a really nice black and white, PSX horror game with very detailed design of the surroundings, especially the house that the main character was in at the start of the game. The idea for a shadow standing at the lighthouse door and the strange appearance of a weird being near the dead body was definitely really clever as it was unsettling and creepy at the same time.

I enjoyed the game but I was wondering if the game has an ending or not as after I reach the top of the lighthouse and opened the light at the middle, I reached a black screen but could still hear background noises. It would be a shame if I didn't manage to complete the game due to how cool the horror game was.

Thank you for reading my comment and I wish you good luck in your future endeavours.

Thank you for playing my game, i'm happy you liked it! Yeah that's supposed to be the end, but i understand it's a bit strange that the black screen remain. I think it's better if i simply close the game after some seconds or return to main menu.

Was wondering if the game reference the Netflix movie in 2019, The Lighthouse? XD

Exactly, i wrote that in the description too. I love the movie, so i choose to do this little game for a school laboratory based on recreate the mood or theme of a movie scene.
